Hi! My name is Felicia. I am a first-year student majoring in fine arts at FAMU. I tend to take classes that relate more to the animation side. I’m also a proud member of FAMU’s Art Club. We often participate in fun, artsy events together. We’re also planning to do murals all over Tallahassee and, over time, expand the number of students in the Fine Arts program and our club.
I’m sure it’s easy to figure out that I’m an artist! Usually, I create digital illustrations and art of my original characters. I’m inspired by my favorite digital artists, cartoons, anime, and comics. My biggest inspiration and favorite cartoon at the moment is Arcane on Netflix. Besides art, I am also interested in watching the fantasy and horror genres, listening to music, and creative writing.
I found out about SSF through my mom’s friend. Her daughter has been an SSF resident for years and recommended it to me. I’m grateful to have been living here as a first-year student, I’ve enjoyed all my time here!
After graduating with my bachelor’s, I’m not sure what I’ll do. Since FAMU currently does not have a graduate program in fine arts, I may continue my studies at a different college. I may go straight into the animation field and look for a job. I may even decide to take a break. I’m not sure what I’ll do in the future, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out when I get to that point.
