BárbaraMaría Moro, Director of Student Affairs, North Florida
Prior to joining the SSF Team, BárbaraMaría Moro was a Program Facilitator and the Camp Director for The Oasis Center for Women & Girls, a community based resource center for women & girls, of which she is a Founding Member. She also served as the Educational Director at Progressive Pediatric Developmental Center, providing an array of services for people with disabilities. She is a certified Girls Circle Facilitator, and has led social skills training for teenagers to young adults and self-esteem building activities for people of all ages. Barby has a Master's Degree in Emotional Disturbances and Learning Disabilities from FSU, specializing in Autism, Severe & Profound Disabilities, and Reading. Currently, Barby has returned to FSU & is pursuing a second Master's Degree in Public Administration, specializing in Nonprofit Management and Strategic Leadership.
Barby has served as a Board Member for the Cornerstone Learning Community, a Committee Member for the Foundation for Leon County Schools, and is a graduate of Leadership Tallahassee, Class 28. Barby currently serves as a Commissioner for the Leon County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls and is extremely proud to be an SSF Alum.
